Overview

Our training covers a wide variety of tropics including health and safety, customer service, food and fuel compliance and standards as well as leadership and people skills.

Customer service assistant training

  • As a customer service assistant, your induction will be supported by a 12-week training program. This program is a mix of online, theoretical, and on-the-job training covering all elements of the role.

  • You will be provided all the materials needed and your manager will provide regular reviews to support your learning.
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills through the Pathways Programme which will build your abilities in various elements of our bp retail business: safety, Wild Bean CafĂ©, Safe Shift Operator, Customer, Who We Are / beliefs.

Management training

  • As either an assistant store manager or store manager, we offer a 10-week comprehensive training program. This covers all elements of the role and our business using a combination of learning methods.
  • This course covers safety, technical and leadership skills and you will have support and regular reviews with your training manager. This program includes online learning, on-the-job training as well as some specific training courses to help set you up for success.

Internal development programme

At bp we offer an internal development programme that will give you the skills and behaviours to become a successful leader. We are always looking to continuously improve and become more efficient, may that be through new equipment or systems. Our dedicated capability and training teams will develop new and exciting ways to support your learning. At bp learning never ends, we will help you discover ways to develop your career.
